We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice commis chef to join our team. In conjunction with Yeovil College, this opportunity will allow you to gain valuable hands on experience while you learn. Whilst working four days a week with us and going to college one day a week, you will gain the qualification of ‘Level 2 Commis Chef.’
You will work with our small, friendly kitchen team who will support you in your development. Our head chef Mark has over 20 years of experience in the trade and a wealth of knowledge, along with Emily, who has recently successfully completed her own apprenticeship with us and Yeovil college. Emily told us:
“I feel the apprenticeship is a great opportunity for people like me who were unsure of what they wanted to do after school and didn’t want to commit to a full time college or university course. I have made some great new friends with other like-minded people in the wider hospitality community and enjoy sharing ideas and supporting each other in our learning and career development I have enjoyed the financial independence that comes with learning on the job, and It’s a fantastic way to gain experience whilst learning, which has given me great confidence in my choice to become a chef!”
